The R1200GS/Adv expandable tankbag in black with silver accents complement all of the R1200GS colors available while echoing the design of the fuel tank with it's aluminum panel accents. The bag is a sophisticated design; optimally adapted to the ergonomic requirements of the new GS. It's smooth aerodynamic shape stays out of the riders way, yet still offers many high tech features to improve the riding experience.-An 'A4' size map case is built into the lid. It is constructed of a durable TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) film that resists wear, tear and the effects of UV radiation far better than conventional clear film material.-Even the map case closure is special; using a virtually waterproof roll up system developed by famed outdoors specialists Ortlieb.-A supplied belt pack buckles to the rear of the bag. Its strap may be used as a shoulder strap for the entire bag. The bag also has a short carry handle sewn on.-A semi-flexible polyethylene base plate is built into the bottom of the bag, formed to match the tanks' contours. It helps keep the tank bag in place at any pace. Silicone-coated foam 'contact pads' ensure non-slip, scratch-free tank top mounting.-Installation is via a front hook and rear zipper/hook & loop combination; a simple, secure method that allows quick removal of the bag as needed.Fits: 05-07 R1200GS & all years R1200GS Adventure only. Although how they pulled it off your back when you had it secured with the additional sternum strap is a mystery.
